Artist's Description
Here is another awesome sunset in the Mohave Desert, in the town of Fort Mohave, Arizona. The sunsets there are so varied, from the sublime to the inspiring.
This was taken with a Fuji X-T2 using the film emulation, Velvia. I used to shoot Fuji Velvia slide film a lot back the the 1980's, 90's and early 2000's. I switched to digital in the early 2000's, so I was very happy when Fuji started making their fantastic retro-like cameras and brought Velvia and Provia back, among others.
There is also a landscape orientation version on my site, taken at the same time, but using their standard film emulation, Provia.
About Glenn DiPaola
I attended the University of Rhode Island where I studied photography under Bart Parker. I graduated with a BFA in fine art photography and a minor in communications. With my newest Fujifilm digital cameras, I am shooting for b&w and...

This is so still, quiet, and beautiful, Glenn!!! Wonderful silhouettes, and I love the negative space!!! :)))vf
Glenn DiPaola replied:
Thanks very much Laurie. You know the desert well. You know how quiet it can be, how a little breeze feels like more than a breeze. On top of that, you get all this amazing color and light.
