This is so still, quiet, and beautiful, Glenn!!! Wonderful silhouettes, and I love the negative space!!! :)))vf

Glenn DiPaola replied:

Thanks very much Laurie. You know the desert well. You know how quiet it can be, how a little breeze feels like more than a breeze. On top of that, you get all this amazing color and light.

Artist's Description

Here is another awesome sunset in the Mohave Desert, in the town of Fort Mohave, Arizona. The sunsets there are so varied, from the sublime to the inspiring.

This was taken with a Fuji X-T2 using the film emulation, Velvia. I used to shoot Fuji Velvia slide film a lot back the the 1980's, 90's and early 2000's. There is also a landscape orientation version on my site, taken at the same time, but using their standard film emulation, Provia.

In the 80's I started to shoot only color for my artwork and never returned to the world of black & white - until 2014. I started converting my color digital images to black and white whenever I saw them as intended for bw. I believe the eye you started with does not go away. With my newest Fujifilm digital cameras, I am shooting for b&w and...
