Description
This is Jackson Square in New Orleans, Louisiana. It is in the French Quarter neighborhood. The sculpture, (1856 by Clark Mills), is of General Andrew Jackson. He later became President of the U.S. but here he is celebrated as a hero of the 1815 Battle of New Orleans.

Glenn, this is a wonderful capture and b&w presentation of these grand buildings and sculpture! Great symmetry too! Although, next time can you get them to prune that tree on the right that's obscuring the tower and finial ;-) L/F

Thanks very much Laurie. I wish I could have come back to this place for more. This night I had to settle for shooting through the gate, so I'm glad I got what I got. I need to go back to NOLA.
