I mo
The reason I did all this is that when I magnified Rob at 100%, his feathers looked like brush strokes in a painting. I found those textures so fascinating that I decided to find a proper way to share it. I hope youved to the Arizona desert at the end of last year. Soon afterwards a roadrunner couple decided we would be their parents, as it were. I named them Rob and Roberta Roadrunner. We rarely see Roberta, but Rob is in the yard in the morning and afternoon, looking for a meal, which we believe he brings back to Roberta. He will come right up to the door in the backyard, not at all concerned with our two little dogs. At that point Rob walks alongside my wife as they head for the wall in the backyard. That is where meals are expected to take place. It is the funniest sight to see them walking together.
Anyway... I've been experimenting with what is called Super Resolution, done with Photoshop mostly. I don't have a lens to get this close to Rob, so I have used that...

I attended the University of Rhode Island where I studied photography under Bart Parker. I graduated with a BFA in fine art photography and a minor in communications. College was always b&w work, hand-processed in the dark room, using many different cameras. It was great fun. After college I worked in the photo-finishing business for many years as well as doing commercial photography. In the 80's I started to shoot only color for my artwork and never returned to the world of black & white - until 2014. I started converting my color digital images to black and white whenever I saw them as intended for bw. I believe the eye you started with does not go away.
