Thanks Rolando, Kume and Sandi. As if one of these wasn't enough, they had a twin to it on the opposite side of the lobby. It was part of a 3-story work starting with a fireplace on the first floor. The clocks were on the second floor. The atrium glass is reflected in the face of the clock.

This is one of the clocks in the lobby atrium of the Union Station Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. The decor of this building is stunning to see. First created as a majestic railway station in 1900, this Richardson Romanesque landmark captures America's great railroad era. The building sits prominently at the top of a high hill and can be seen from many points in town. The trains still run behind the building, lots of them.

About Glenn DiPaola

I attended the University of Rhode Island where I studied photography under Bart Parker. I graduated with a BFA in fine art photography and a minor in communications. College was always b&w work, hand-processed in the dark room, using many different cameras. It was great fun. After college I worked in the photo-finishing business for many years as well as doing commercial photography. In the 80's I started to shoot only color for my artwork and never returned to the world of black & white - until 2014. I started converting my color digital images to black and white whenever I saw them as intended for bw. I believe the eye you started with does not go away. With my newest Fujifilm digital cameras, I am shooting for b&w and...
