A friendly swan swimming toward me in a small lake not far from where I live. This one followed me around, or was it the other way around? A beautiful bird in every way.

What a great shot. Beautiful work. I love the reflections. What I wouldn't give to be able to photograph swans.... Here in AZ the weather would be a bit warm for them :) Gorgeous!

Thanks very much Lucinda. This does show how the atmosphere looked in color. I captured this in a bit of shock as the swan came all the way from the opposite side straight at me. Not shy in the least. This one did better in color just as the other swan image did better in bw..

Thank you Laurie. I hung with the swan for a while but this was our introduction. Spotted me and swam across the lake straight to me. They are pretty.
