I attended the University of Rhode Island where I studied photography under Bart Parker. I graduated with a BFA in fine art photography and a minor in communications. College was always b&w work, hand-processed in the dark room, using many different cameras. It was great fun. Beautiful butterfly! Wonderful capture Glenn. You mentioned that you've been experiencing hot weather, we've been experiencing the coldest temperatures for the year this week. I agree with you that autumn is the season to look forward to. My studies have been keeping me really busy, so not spending as much time on FAA as I would like. Don't know if I told you, but I'm doing a BA Fine Art, I'm a few weeks off starting my third year.
Glenn DiPaola replied:
Thanks very much Linda. Not often that one of these poses like this one did. I think it was the heat that day. Later in the day, it fluttered in place and then flew away. Signs of fall start here around the 3 week of August, but you have to look for them. You did mention it but no details on what you are concentrating on in the art world. I would guess painting is your primary study. I never got to take painting classes when I was in college. I wish I had. Sculpture and drawing the first year, and thank goodness, photography after that.
