I recently started using this scene for my computer’s desktop image. I’ve always liked the singularity of the people in it. An individual with a body reflected and a long shadow. All three elements contained in a personal space, in a big space.

This lovely image brings to mind summer holidays spending idyllic times with family and friends, maybe that's why you have it as your background? Who doesn't love spending time at the beach. I see what you mean about the shadows and reflections, although as the people become more distant their reflections are visible but not the shadows.
Glenn DiPaola replied:
Thank you Linda. I think I had it for my background because I don't get to the beach at all to speak of. I had not been to the Pacific in decades, so a special time. Glad you see that in the people. You would not see this on the east coast. It's different light and more space than many beaches on my coast. Maybe more like the colorful little beach houses you have posted. Those are great.
