Great shot of these holiday shacks Glenn. Are they floating or built on the bank? If they're on the bank they'd be in trouble if the river rises. I'd like to see a color version of this one.

Thanks much Linda. They are floating, tied to the river bank. If you think they would be in trouble you should see how little some houses are above the river. No question rivers rise and it's a problem for some. Worth it to them. It's another world in the swamp to say the least. The color version is comprised of two dominate colors - green and a brownish yellow in the river. The two buildings are a medium blue.

Glenn DiPaola

I attended the University of Rhode Island where I studied photography under Bart Parker. I graduated with a BFA in fine art photography and a minor in communications. College was always b&w work, hand-processed in the dark room, using many different cameras. It was great fun. After college I worked in the photo-finishing business for many years as well as doing commercial photography. In the 80's I started to shoot only color for my artwork and never returned to the world of black & white - until 2014. I started converting my color digital images to black and white whenever I saw them as intended for bw. I believe the eye you started with does not go away.
