Artist's Description
I am standing on a dock waiting for a boat to take us down the Thames to the Tower of London. This boat ride was another experience I wanted in London. A friend who travels to London often suggested it. While it did take away time at the Tower of London, it was well worth it. There are great views to be had from the river - and I like boats.

About Glenn DiPaola
I attended the University of Rhode Island where I studied photography under Bart Parker. I graduated with a BFA in fine art photography and a minor in communications. College was always b&w work, hand-processed in the dark room, using many different cameras. It was great fun. After college I worked in the photo-finishing business for many years as well as doing commercial photography. This is wonderful, Glenn! Not only the mood of the river experience, but the wonderful perspective and great depth of field result in one marvelous image! And I feel that your black and white expression provides a mood and quality of the local flavor that could not be expressed through color. L/F G+
Glenn DiPaola replied:
Thanks very much for such a thoughtful and considered comment. Merci appreciated. You are correct. The color version was nothing like this. It did not bring the subjects out as this one does.
Shirley Sirois
Very rich B&W Image!.......L.

Thank you Shirley.

I like your choice of b&w here, Glenn; it brings out the depths, details that are often missed in colour .. ; your composition is stellar, you've skilfully composed it so that a great deal is captured in this one image; I like the sense of Quiet Moment here in that big city metropolis :))
Glenn DiPaola replied:
Thanks very much Connie. I appreciate your taking the time to write such a kind review.
Sorin Apostolescu
Very beautiful capture...

I like how you did this in portrait mode, Glenn. I love the boat in the foreground to balance the wonderful London scenes. Great tones in this beautiful b/w!

Glenn DiPaola replied:
Thanks Laurie. I like that I saw this, got out on a dock. So few make it to the wall.
