Wow! Awesome shot Glenn!!!!!! I just love this! The vines provide wonderful visual interest against the drab, old, weathered building! You have such a great eye!!!!! L/F

Glenn DiPaola replied:

Thanks. This is my second favorite image from Princeton. I liked it enough to go back and do it in a selected color version. I haven't posted that one yet, maybe in the fall when it makes more sense.

Artist's Description

This image was taken in early fall of this year on the campus of Princeton University in New Jersey. Even though it was early in the season, this ivy offered me a nice array of fall colors, growing in simple lines. This building is my favorite one at Princeton, even the ivy is more special on it than other buildings.

After college I worked in the photo-finishing business for many years as well as doing commercial photography. In the 80's I started to shoot only color for my artwork and never returned to the world of black & white - until 2014. I started converting my color digital images to black and white whenever I saw them as intended for bw. I believe the eye you started with does not go away. With my newest Fujifilm digital cameras, I am shooting for b&w and...
