There are times when some of your best work was not foreseen or planned. So if this is what happened here, then this definitely is proof! The mood and meaning do not even require words. The image is the story, and it's a wonderful one! Excellent work, Glenn! L/F

Glenn DiPaola replied:

I appreciate your words on this Kellice. Thank you. I was shooting the water and she came along. Timing!

I love this beautiful experiment of yours Glenn! Awesome!! L/F

Glenn DiPaola replied:

Thank you Kathy. Yes, a happy accident of sorts. I do like it.

Wonderful shot Glenn! I love the way the waterfall is illuminating the little girl

Glenn DiPaola replied:

Thanks very much Linda. It was a quick moment that I am glad to have captured. The light from the falls is just enough to make this area somewhat intimate in a place that is anything but that.

Artist's Description

I have to tell viewers/buyers that this was taken very quickly. The moment was going to pass in seconds. My camera settings were for experiments with the waterfall. I did not have time to change any settings. The shutter speed was slow so there is motion throughout the frame. But I like it. It also created some beautiful bubbles in the flowing water. Very abstract.

This is the plaza at the NYNY casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is unusual for me to capture images with people in them, but not that night.

I am only offering 4 print sizes. BTW - the title is actually Child's Play. This site only allows letters in the titles.

About Glenn DiPaola

Glenn DiPaola

I attended the University of Rhode Island where I studied photography under Bart Parker. I graduated with a BFA in fine art photography and a minor in communications. College was always b&w work, hand-processed in the dark room, using many different cameras. It was great fun. After college I worked in the photo-finishing business for many years as well as doing commercial photography. In the 80's I started to shoot only color for my artwork and never returned to the world of black & white - until 2014. I started converting my color digital images to black and white whenever I saw them as intended for bw. I believe the eye you started with does not go away. With my newest Fujifilm digital cameras, I am shooting for b&w and...
