Description
Behind London's Hotel Russell is a pub called, Friend at Hand. While planning our trip to the UK I believed this was the closest pub to our hotel so I wanted to see it. The pub is just to the left side of this frame but what caught my eye instead was this wonderful cobblestone street leading down a row of great old buildings. This was a side of London I had hoped to see.
I have limited this image to being printed no larger then 16 inches on the longest side. While the image is capable of printing at 40 inches, I believe it is best viewed on a more intimate scale.

This has such a wonderful feeling and mood of an earlier era in history, Glenn! Wonderful work! The lighting and toned colors are splendid too! L/F FB

Wonderful how you've done this! full of atmosphere, reflective light .. drama, even a touch of mystery .. there's a story {maybe even a film!} here, Glenn:)))

It is all magic in this image
Glenn DiPaola replied:
Sono d'accordo con voi. È stato un momento magico e sono felice di avere un'immagine che sembra a me ora lo stesso come ha fatto quando ero lì. Grazie mille.

What an amazing shot, Glenn! My goodness, what a story in this image! I love it! :)))) L/F
Glenn DiPaola replied:
Thanks very much Sandi. Sometimes you stand in a place and you see it as it was and all the other details fade away. You see a story from another time. That doesn't happen nearly enough in life. I thrilled to have captured what I felt.
