Description
One of the antique French sculptures on the grounds of Linden Place in Bristol, RI. I used to live around the corner from this when I was growing up. The mansion is barely visible through the trees, which are Linden trees of course. The mansion, built in 1810 by George Dewolf, was later owned by Samuel Colt. In the last century it was owned by actress Ethel Barrymore and was featured in a scene from the 1974 film, The Great Gatsby The estate has also been visited by four US Presidents. It is now owned by the town and open to the public.
